NC State
Park Alumni Center

The Park Center Volunteer Program offers a unique and meaningful volunteer opportunity, providing a valuable service to NC State and the Alumni Association. Staffed by members of the Forever Club and other alumni who are interested in staying connected and giving back to their alma mater, the program provides a greeting and welcoming presence to all who enter the Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center.

Volunteers are asked to commit to four-hour shifts and are stationed in the entry area receptionist’s booth. Volunteers greet visitors with a warm Wolfpack welcome, provide basic information on the Park Alumni Center,  Alumni Association, The State Club,  and our restaurant. They  also have a general knowledge regarding office locations, information about the building and named donor areas.

Volunteers will be trained and are encouraged to sign up in pairs so that one person can always remain in the greeter’s booth if another volunteer is showing a visitor to a location or giving a brief tour of the facility. The volunteer booth is staffed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Volunteers may choose between the morning shift (8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) or the afternoon shift (12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Chairs are provided in the greeter’s booth and extended standing is not required. Lunch will be provided by The State Club on days that you volunteer.
